Two of your go-to-eat places are Subway and Chipotle. Notice that they both are a “do-it-yourself assembly line,” which is a popular way to have food. Wouldn’t you like to have this, but with pizza? Well, now you can with Blaze Fast-Fired Pizza in Royal Oak and Novi, MI.
Blaze Pizza is gourmet pizza that is fast-fired over an 800 degree open flame to a perfectly crispy perfection. Dough is made fresh each day. You go down an assembly line of over 40 fresh ingredients and customize your pizza. It is then fast-fired over the open flame, and in two to three minutes …..Voila! You have designer pizza!
Blaze not only has a do-it-yourself pizza bar, but they also have some signature pizzas like their Green Stripe, a pizza with pesto drizzled over grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic, mozzarella, and arugula, or their Art Lover, a pizza with artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic, and red sauce dollops.
If you want to keep your pizza order simple, choose the Simple Pie, a traditional cheese pizza. They also offer salads and S’mores pies for dessert.
Don’t worry if you have food allergies. They offer gluten-free crust, a range of sauces and cheeses (including vegan cheese), and many options for any food related allergy. For example, you can choose from redsauce, spicy red sauce, white cream sauce, pesto drizzle, BBQ sauce drizzle, and olive oil drizzle.
Blaze also offers a wide selection of cheeses. You can choose from seven different kinds. They have an even bigger choice of meats and veggies. Combined, there are twenty-two of them. Their pizzas are thin crust, or New York style.
This place has received rave reviews, and overall is rated four stars.
The Blaze restaurant that I visited was in a nice location. It was nice and clean. I went up to the “bar” and watched them make my pizzas. They were super cool to watch. The pizzas came out fast, and tasted great. When I went, I tried the Simple Pie, and the Green Stripe. For dessert I had the S’mores pie.
Dave, the manager, informed me that Blaze’s concept was formed to be fresh and efficient (using fresh ingredients,) and that the idea for a do-it-yourself pizza place was envisioned by the owners of Wetzel’s Pretzels. When they were in a rush, they wanted pizza, but had to get burritos. The burrito place inspired this idea with pizza.
Dave’s favorite pizza is the Meat Lover, as is his daughter’s.
Stop by Blaze for some delicious food, and great atmosphere! You can order at the restaurant, online, or call the main phone, (626) 584-5880.
Theirwebsite is blazepizza.com. It contains the menu, a nutritional calculator, allergen info, press, franchising, and ordering. It is a helpful way to learn more about the restaurant.
I would definitely recommend visiting Blaze, the next time you crave Pizza.
