And it became the team mascot and part of the team\u2019s as a pre-game ritual&#8211;kiss the cone.<br \/>\nTeam members said that the cone defines the season both on and off the field.<br \/>\n\u201cWe found a cone on the side of the road, after coming back from getting our mouth guards fitted. Nick really wanted this cone, so he took the wheel as I leaned out to get it,\u201d Harden said.<br \/>\nOther teammates weighed.<br \/>\n\u201cAfter Trey brought this cone to our team tailgate, it was decided that this cone would be our<br \/>\nmascot. Each person has to kiss the cone once before the game. If you kiss the cone twice, it\u2019s bad luck. The cone follows us onto the field,\u201d Klinger said.<br \/>\nThe also claimed that the cones has special powers.<br \/>\n\u201cWe kiss the cone to charge it. When the water boy brings it on<br \/>\nthe field, it\u2019s set on the 50 yard line.
