The Magic Chef is what junior Kevin Jung calls himself.
\n\u201cIt was actually my e-mail because those are my two favorite things. When I signed up for Glitter, I didn\u2019t have a name for myself, and I had to put my e-mail down. They just took that and made it into my performer name,\u201d Jung said.
\nMagic isn\u2019t easy, and it takes a lot of practice.
\n\u201cI did a little magic during 7th grade, but then I decided to start up again freshman year,\u201d Jung said.
\nAnd he has been doing it ever since.
\n\u201cGlitter was actually a lot of fun. It always goes better during the rehearsal because I usually mess up during the real thing,\u201d Jung said. \u201cI messed up during my card trick but luckily only a few people noticed, and the only reason that they did was because of the look on my face.\u201d
\nJung performed three different magic tricks, but his last required audience participation. He hid a ball of paper towel in his hand and then asked sophomore Mackenzie Schick which hand the paper towel was in as he threw it behind her head, so she couldn\u2019t see it.
\n\u201cI did the final trick with Odell and Erika during rehearsal, and it worked on both of them,\u201d Jung said. \u201cUsually the first two times, the people don\u2019t see it and then third time they do. So the fact that Mackenzie fell for it all three times was a real bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
