Photo may be in color. Photos will be judged on both the quality of the photo and how it was used in the publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Effective cropping to center of interest<\/li>
  • Clear, sharp details<\/li>
  • Good, sharp contrast with varied levels of grays, black, and white or colors<\/li>
  • Attracts, holds reader\u2019s attention<\/li>
  • Avoids distracting back\/foreground<\/li>
  • All elements in photo combine with caption to tell story<\/li>
  • Action, rather than posed photo<\/li>
