CRITERIA<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Begin with strong leads, not name or title<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contain at least two sentences that answer all reader\u2019s questions without stating the obvious<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evidence of adequate research which provides information that adds to reader\u2019s understanding of event or situation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clearly identifies all people in photo with both first and last names (sports captions should also identify names of players on opposing team)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adhere to rules of good journalism including: active voice, typically the first sentence in present tense and remaining sentences are in past tense, freedom from editorial comment, careful editing and proofreading to eliminate mechanical errors, correct use of grammar<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\">Since the beginning of every student\u2019s high school career, the same question dogs her time and time again: What are you planning to do after high school?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Thanks to the programs that the Wilson Talent Center has to offer, junior Alic-Mychael Hawkins knows exactly how to answer that question with the kind of profession she wants to follow after high school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cOne year ago, I went to the Wilson Talent Center field trip like everyone else,\u201d Hawkins said. \u201cAt the time, all I wanted to do was help others.
