\nSeven-year-old Alisha Newsom sits on her couch with her pink blanket laid out on her lap. In her right hand she holds a pencil and in her other hand she holds her notebook. Newsom closes her eyes as her mind goes somewhere out of this dimension.<\/p>\n

She might be too young to be certain of many things, but she does know one thing: she has a great passion for writing and creating movies.<\/p>\n

Fast forward 10 years and Newsom still sits on her couch with that pink blanket, a pencil in her right hand and a notebook in the other, doing what she does best: writing stories.<\/p>\n

Her mind is different than most people because for her, ideas and projects come easily. She can see herself making movies and films in her future.<\/p>\n

She is a senior and has been working hard on this story, with an entirely original sound track, for a year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s both action packed and a thriller all in one,\u201d she said. All of Newsom\u2019s hard work paid off, because her movie will premiere at the end of the year at Partridge Creek.<\/p>\n

“There are a lot of talented local kids who either write music or perform, so I want to incorporate local talent as much as possible,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The hardest part about writing the story was finding the time to focus, sit down and translate what she saw in her head onto paper.<\/p>\n

But even when she doubted herself and was going through the struggle of writing, she had lots of friends and role models who helped her get through the editing process.<\/p>\n

“It’s crazy how when a bunch of random people who are strangers get together, they can make something wonderful and create a bond that will last entire lifetime.”<\/p>\n

Newsom will attend a school in either Chicago, New York City or Atlanta for college and study in the field of film and television.<\/p>\n

“I was in a rough place for a while and having a chance to work on this and making something that people will be watching a large scale is honestly so amazing and brought me so much happiness.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
